Steve Fruitman has been a radio programmer at The University of Toronto radio station CIUT-FM for 28 + years. His all-vinyl music program is mined from his own record collection. He bought his first LP in April 1964 (a Beatles album, of course) and hasn't stopped buying them since. After producing a weekly folk / roots program for 25 years, Steve decided it was time for a major change, so in 2013 he decided to go all vinyl. While his general focus centres around rock music, don't be surprised to hear a polka or a fiddle tune, maybe a few country, blues, jazz or novelty numbers thrown in just to mess with your mind. In a good way, of course. Steve's a Toronto-born guy who lived through the most of the music he chooses for his programs so you often get a first hand account of the songs that he plays.
